Our chalet (above left) is situated less than 2 minutes walk from the button lift in the village. There is a ski shop ( Carline Sports) right by that slope and an ESF ski school where you can arrange private or group lessons. You can hire skis and snowshoes there or have your own equipment serviced. Lift passes can also be bought in the village, the office for this is at the top end by the chair lift ( Torchon). You can ski there from the chalet or it is a 5 minute drive or 10 minute walk from the Chalet. From the Torchon chair lift you can also access the ski resort of St Jean D' Aulps and all that that has to offer. From St Jean D'Aulps ski station you can also access Morzine via a 10 minute bus ride. The nearby ski resorts of Hirmentaz and Habere La Poche are also a great local option at just a 10 minute drive away. The bigger resorts of Morzine and Les Gets are 40 minutes away and Chamonix, Mont Blanc just 1 hour.

Biking and Hiking
This area is fantastic for road cycling and is so stunning that it has been used twice by the Tour De France in the past two years. Setting your own pace you can pass through pretty alpine villages or challenge yourself to the many nearby Col's which are ski runs and unpassable in the winter months. Or simply take your bikes to Thonnon and cycle around Lake Geneva or the stunning Lake Annecy with its old town and spectacular views.
Mountain Biking is equally popular with a myriad of sign posted trails directly from the house. We offer bike storage at the chalet.
Walking in this area is simply breathtaking. From a gentle stroll down around the Lac De Vallon, which is a short walk through the woods from the chalet, to the challenging heights of the Roc d'Enfer itself there really is something for everyone. There are dozens of signposted hiking trails to choose from with times and distances listed on them..
